THIS IS NOT A STAPLE IN MY HAIR BUT A TIARA By Farrah Field

I wasn’t listening to you because I was beating the shit out of my inner critic

Secrets are almost always behind that door

My grandmother wore very pretty lingerie I changed with her after church once

Before she drove me to the town pool

What was happening everywhere I cannot explain

When everyone complains about the snow I feel like the child who has so much information that adults could never know

Out back the grown ups were saying a job is for money and work is for lifestyle and both are so you know how to keep the holidays and both so you know charity

I wondered why they said you

Pretty sure his bird moved

After the election we stopped singing This Land Is Your Land

I don’t seem too shaken after this last one

Well-dressed woman walks into coffee shop orders water

You don’t bother me because you don’t matter anymore

We talk about what we would do if we won the lottery

What is the sign for when I am too old for technology when I choose not to change with it

My yoga teacher said there’s a hidden universe inside my body

I always thought the hidden universe was my home

I flat out love this each line a meditation I wanted to hang out with for longer than a moment. And also the best title EVER.
